AWS Well-Architected FrameworkSimilar to the other pillars, the Sustainability Pillar contains questions aimed at evaluating the design, architecture, and implementation of your workloads to reduce their energy consumption and improve their efficiency. The pillar is designed as a tool to track your progress toward policies and best practices that support a more sustainable future, not just a simple checklist.

Data ExchangeData is at the center of many processes and products, whether it’s a large-scale dataset used to train machine learning models, a relational database, or an API-based integration.
MSKAmazon MSK Serverless in public preview, a new type of Amazon MSK cluster that makes it easier for developers to run Apache Kafka without having to manage its capacity.Preview
AWS Lake Formation You can control access to specific rows and columns in query results and within AWS Glue ETL jobs based on the identity of who is performing the action. In this way, you don’t have to create (and keep updated) subsets of your data for different roles and legislations. This works for both governed and traditional S3 tables.

EC2I am pleased to announce the availability of Amazon EBS Snapshots Archive, a new storage tier for the long-term retention of Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) snapshots of your EBS volumes.
EC2In order to give you more control over the deletion process, we are launching a Recycle Bin for EBS Snapshots. As you will see in a moment, you can now set up rules to retain deleted snapshots so that you can recover them after an accidental deletion. You can think of this as a two-level model, where individual AWS users are responsible for the initial deletion, and then a designated “Recycle Bin Administrator” (as specified by an IAM role) manages retention and recovery.
Compute OptimizerCompute Optimizer helps you choose optimal configurations for three types of AWS resources: Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances, Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) volumes, and AWS Lambda functions, based on your utilization data. Today, I am happy to share that AWS Compute Optimizer now supports recommendation preferences where you can opt in or out of features that enhance resource-specific recommendations.
EC2The Graviton3 will deliver up to 25% more compute performance and up to twice as much floating point & cryptographic performance. Preview
EC2The introduction of EC2 Mac instances brought the flexibility, scalability, and cost benefits of AWS to all Apple developers. EC2 Mac instances are dedicated Mac mini computers attached through Thunderbolt to the AWS Nitro System, which lets the Mac mini appear and behave like another EC2 instance. Preview
