.AWS Security Competency

We are very happy to announce that globaldatanet has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Competency as one of three partners in Germany. The AWS Competency Program is designed to proof to AWS customers that companies in the AWS Partner Network (APN) are qualified and that they have demonstrated technical proficiency and proven success in specialised solution and vertical areas.

The security competency is a really huge achievement. Behind the scenes there was a journey of hard work throughout the last year. To gain the status this competency you need to fulfil several of different requirements. For example one of the major requirements is to dive into several selected projects and screen every single part of it to the skeleton. It needs to fulfils the standards of AWS Security Definitions, you need to proof the customer value added as well as the customer satisfaction is taken into account. You also need to proof the expertise of your engineers, which means you need to have several Security Specialties in your team as well as a proven internal Certification program. After applying, there are two steps to go. First, all the necessary documents will be evaluated by multiple Cloud Solution Architects from AWS. In the second phase you also need to withstand a 6 hour audit from an external company, going through every requirement in detail. Thats how easy it is.
